Bio
Marisa Fernández Armenteros began her career at the Eurimages film fund and in the audiovisual division of the European Parliament. Between 2004 and 2020, she was associated with The Mediapro Studio, where she participated in the production of more than thirty-five films, including The Good Boss and Midnight in Paris.
In 2020, she co-produced The Mole Agent, directed by Maite Alberdi, a documentary nominated for an Academy Award.
In 2021, she founded Buenapinta Media, through which she produced Lullaby, premiered at the Berlinale and winner of three Goya Awards, and The Movie Teller, directed by Isabel Coixet, which received seven nominations at the Goya and Feroz Awards.
In 2025, she released Sleepless City, which received the SACD Award at the Cannes Film Festival, and The Sundays, winner of the Golden Shell at the San Sebastián International Film Festival and five Goya Awards, including Best Film.
In 2026, she presented Three Goodbyes, directed by Isabel Coixet, which premiered in Toronto and at the Seminci Film Festival, as well as Better Class, directed by Víctor García León, at the Málaga Film Festival.
She is a member of the Spanish and European Film Academies and a mentor for The Incubator programme at ECAM.
