Game Developers Conference San Francisco 2025

Between March 17 and 21, 2025, the Game Developers Conference will take place in San Francisco, one of the leading events for the global video game industry. As part of its strategy to boost the internationalization of the Spanish audiovisual sector, specifically the video game industry, ICEX Spain Export and Investments, through its brand Games from Spain, has organized a Spanish delegation of industry companies, bringing together over 70 professionals and a total of 33 Spanish companies. The Spanish delegation is further strengthened by the presence of key official institutions and regional representatives such as Madrid in Game, Canary Islands Games, IVACE, and Valencia Game City.

Video game developers such as Daloar, Fictiorama, Odderslab, Digital Sun, Cosmic Spell, Bowl of Tentacles, 1st Level, No Brakes Games, Gamez Studio, Oniroid Studios, and Vermila Studios will attend, presenting their latest projects. Additionally, Spanish publishers Entalto and Viva Games will also be present. The delegation will feature a strong group of service providers such as Freeverse, Laos Network, Deusens, IBV, Bradnewverse, Latente Studio, Ludium Lab, Union Avatars, and His Player, all of which will showcase the immense potential, talent, and innovation that defines the Spanish video game sector.

Spanish video games have received notable recognition at this year’s event, as three titles have been selected for the official GDC Pitch section: Bogdan’s Cross by Madrid-based developer 1st Level; The Moonfaces by the renowned Madrid studio Fictiorama Studios (known for successes like Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099); and Stranded by Barcelona's Loadstar Games, a new studio formed by professionals with extensive experience in the Spanish video game industry. Additionally, three Spanish games have won awards in the Best in Play Winners section of GDC: the highly anticipated The Occultist by Valladolid-based Daloar Studios; The Midnight Barber by Omaet Games; and Altered Alma by 2Awesome Studios.

On Tuesday, March 18, ICEX, Bandai Namco Entertainment, and AEVI will host a networking cocktail event at Mint Plaza in San Francisco. This gathering will bring together members of the Spanish video game community, offering an opportunity to share projects, expand professional networks, and explore new opportunities in the international video game sector.
