Maite receives a new case: a member of the Támoga family, known in Ferrol for running a large pharmaceutical company, has been kidnapped. The investigation leads Maite to delve into the intricacies of a large family: the tensions, loyalties, and shady areas she will have to decipher to find the kidnapper. Tomás, settled with Maite in an adapted house with a sea view, has decided to request euthanasia. He has 15 days to reaffirm his decision. But in 15 days, many things can happen. He finds that an old friend, a shipowner from the Ferrol shipyards whom Tomás has always admired for his union struggle, is involved in a murder case. Tomás, driven by the duty to prove his innocence — in which he blindly believes — delves into a dark plot that will make him question, once again, what justice really means. Supporting each other, Maite and Tomás move forward to solve two cases that, in some way, help them reach the end of a stage. Perhaps the best stage of their lives, or at least, the most intense.

Nina Weiss, a BKA agent, is visiting her mother Margarethe, a German expat on the Canary Islands. She arrives unannounced, searching for answers on her past.
