Marisa Fernández Armenteros founded Buenapinta Media in May of 2021, after having co-produced the Academy- nominated documentary The Mole Agent by Maite Alberdi.
In 2022 she coproduced Lullaby (Cinco lobitos), by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa. The film was premiered at the Berlinale (Panorama) and won three Spanish Academy awards (Best first film, best main actress -Laia Costa- and best supporting actress -Susi Sánchez). Pedro Almodóvar endorsed Lullaby "as the best debut of the Spanish Cinema for years".
Previously Marisa worked for 17 years at The Mediapro Studio with international directors such as Isabel Coixet, Fernando León de Aranoa (The Good Boss), Woody Allen (Midnight in Paris) or Patricio Guzmán (The Pearl Botton).
Her last project at Buenapinta is Un amor, the new film by Isabel Coixet, in post-production.
Marisa is producer mentor at the acclaimed Spanish Incubator’s development programme.
