THE FANTASTIC GOLEM AFFAIRS

In 1935, Antoni Benaiges is hired as a teacher in a small, isolated village in Burgos, Spain. There, he establishes an intense relationship with his students, a group of young boys and girls between the ages of six and twelve, to whom he makes a promise: to take them to see the sea for the first time in their lives. 75 years later, the granddaughter of one of those students discovers the wonderful story hidden behind a promise that was never fulfilled.

Mila (11) faces the last days of life before the end of the world. While she struggles to understand the complexity of death, she also tries to keep her family together by holding a party that takes place on the very last day of life on earth.

1978. The outskirts of Barcelona, shaped and raised mainly by immigrants from Extremadura and Andalusia, built with their own hands, is not considered part of the city. Their shacks do not even have running water, electricity, or public transportation. Fed up with a city hall that keeps saying they can’t send transportation there because the shack-lined streets are too narrow and unsafe, a bus driver (Eduard Fernández) hijacks his own bus and drives it to his neighborhood to prove that his people can indeed have a public transportation line. An act of peaceful dissidence that transformed Barcelona and changed the concept of the outskirts forever.

A famous Spanish actor, Julio Arenas, disappears while filming a movie. Although his body is never found, the police conclude that he has suffered an accident at a cliff by the sea. Many years later, the mystery is brought up once more by a TV program that tries to evoke the actor, offering as a scoop images of the last scenes in which he participated, shot by his close friend, director Miguel Garay.

After a jihadist attack at the airport, Santi, a taxi driver willing to help, is taken hostage by Hamza, the only surviving terrorist. An unexpected twist switches their roles and Santi becomes a human bomb walking through the center of Madrid wearing an explosive vest. If he stops moving the bomb will detonate.

Ara and Edu have been lovers for a decade since she was a novice actress and he was a novice scriptwriter. Apart from their "official" relationships, they always find a moment to be together, an oasis in their lives.

A group of computer technicians, former university mates, meet to have dinner and spend the weekend in a house in the mountains, after several years since they last met. On her last day, the young man whispers the book’s final passages in her ear, closes his eyes, and meditates alongside her, as she embarks on a transformative journey into what lies beyond.
