Las Abogadas

Las Abogadas transports us to the vibrant and agitated Madrid of 1969, a key moment in the history of Spain, where the first glimmers of change begin to appear in the last years of Franco's regime. In the midst of this political and social context, we meet Lola González, a young woman from a wealthy family who has just graduated from law school. Ambitious and full of ideals, Lola is part of a generation that dreams of a freer and fairer Spain.

Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets three colleagues who, like her, seek to transform the legal profession from within: Cristina, Manuela and Paca. Together, they form a group of young and courageous women lawyers willing to challenge the conventions of the time, in a legal field dominated by men and deeply influenced by the limitations of the dictatorship. United by their democratic principles and desire for social justice, the four women will face personal and professional challenges as they try to make their way in a hostile world.
