On the coast of Cádiz, a group of sub-Saharan migrants is intercepted and taken to a sports centre to spend the night. Among them is Aya, a 13-year-old girl, dressed as a boy. While she tries to get in touch with her cousin who lives in Spain, Aya remembers the most important episodes of her journey, from the moment she fled the war in Ivory Coast, until she crosses the strait in a boat. Throughout this journey, Aya imagines the adventures of legendary Baulé Queen Akwa Boni as a reflection of her own experiences, which helps her face the hardest moments and keep the memory of his mother alive, hoping to see her again one day.

After moving to a new city, a nonbinary person with social anxiety must navigate forming new friendships while hiding a mysterious insect: Bitxo. Fearing rejection, B hides Bitxo, making social interactions harder. One day, B meets Ali, who reveals her own creature, Alimaña. With Ali’s support, B sets Bitxo free, paving the way for their own growth and self-acceptance. The story ends with B and Ali walking toward the sunrise, their insects flying alongside them.

Violet is a curious ten-year-old who lives in a small village in the Siberia of Extremadura, where life follows a peaceful rhythm and everyone knows each other. But rural life is far from boring, especially with Violet around. Always eager to understand how the world works, she throws herself into adventures: starting a soccer team, preparing surprise gifts, or dressing as a mummy instead of a princess. Her questions and actions challenge the norms of her community, inspiring adults to rethink their habits. Yet not everyone embraces change. Mr. Riera, the new PE teacher from the city, finds it hard to adapt to village life and its slower, more open-minded pace.
