Main theme of this documentary is the passage of time and the abrupt changes in daily life that technology has brought in the last 100 years. Characters (five Ibero-American grandmothers from Mexico, Cuba, Costa Rica, Colombia and Spain) narrate the relationship between daily life and the arrival of a world of increasingly accelerated changes. Their stories on how their lives have undergone a total turnaround since they were born more than 70 years ago, are universal.

A revealing documentary that explores the history of the iconic troglodyte neighbourhood of Sacromonte in Granada, Spain. Through moving testimonies and captivating archive footage, the film illustrates the attraction that the place had for famous actors, writers, musicians, and filmmakers from all over the world who were fascinated by its gypsy inhabitants and their efforts to preserve their traditions and culture heritage through the almost forgotten flamenco spectacle of Zambra, a vital representation of the gypsy wedding ritual.
