Graham Greene in Spain and Portugal

Between 1976 and 1989 Graham Greene traveled around the Iberian Peninsula in the company of his friend Leopoldo Durán, a Galician writer. From these trips came the novel "Monsignor Quixote", a hymn to friendship between very different people, incorporating elements of Cervantes' novel and a critical vision of post-Franco Spain.

However, the true motives for these journeys remain a secret.
