Mario Hernández

Bio

Graduated in Directing at Ciudad de la Luz Studios. In 2015 he directed A los ojos, which won the Best Short Film Award at ABYCINE, and the Young Creators Award from the Madrid City Council. In 2016 he won Best Short Film at SEMINCI with Por Sifo (Slow Wine). In 2017 he shot Vientos del pueblo sirio in Greece, a tribute to the poet Miguel Hernández, which he relates to the refugee crisis. In 2020, he premiered Salvo el crepúsculo, according to the world of Julio Cortázar, for whose screenplay he won the SEMINCI Factory Award, among other national and international awards. Director and playwright, with seven theatrical productions premiered, two published dramatic texts and the Calamonte Joven Prize in 2019. Tregua(s) is his debut feature film.
