SACAMANTECAS

SACAMANTECAS

Álava, 1872. The war between Carlists and liberals serves as the backdrop for an old and illiterate peasant who rapes and strangles women. His real name is Juan Díaz de Garayo, but posterity will baptize him as the 'Sacamantecas,' the first recorded serial killer in our country. Just like the dark Spain he lives in, Garayo will wage an inner war, and in his path, he will encounter Ángela Berrosteguieta, a mysterious woman who has recently arrived from France, determined to find him at any cost.
