The series narrates the life and death of Cristina Ortiz, La Veneno, one of the most important and popular LGTBI icons in Spain. Adored and charismatic, she expressed herself with no censorship, with a funny and cheeky language. La Veneno became popular because of his television appearances in the 1990s. However, his life and especially his death remain an enigma nowadays. Veneno tells the story of the LGTBI movement in Spain, from the 1960s to the present day. It is the story of a woman who didn’t stop fighting, a local character but with a life and universal values easily identifiable by people around the world.
